Welcome to Myanmar! This 7-day tour will take you on an adventure through some of the country's most fascinating cities and landmarks. From the bustling streets of Yangon to the ancient temples of Bagan and the royal cities of Mandalay, you will experience the best of Myanmar's culture, history, and natural beauty.

On Day 1, you'll arrive in Yangon and begin your journey with a sightseeing tour of the city's top attractions. On Day 2, you'll travel to Bagan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to explore its breathtaking temples and pagodas. The following day, you'll continue your overland drive to Mandalay, the last royal capital of Myanmar.

In Mandalay, you'll visit the famous U Bein Bridge in Amarapura and other must-see attractions such as the Mahamuni Pagoda, the Shwenandaw Monastery, and the Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world's largest book. On Day 5, you'll venture out to the ancient cities of Ava and Sagaing for a glimpse into the region's rich history and culture.

Your journey will conclude with a return to Yangon, where you'll spend a day exploring the city's top landmarks, including the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, and the bustling Bogyoke Aung San Market. On Day 7, you'll depart from Yangon with unforgettable memories of your adventure in Myanmar.

 

  1. Bagan's Temples and Pagodas: Day 2 of the tour includes Bagan sightseeing, where you can explore over 2,000 ancient temples and pagodas.
  2. Overland Drive to Mandalay: Day 3 involves traveling to Mandalay by overland drive, which can provide beautiful scenic views and a chance to see the Burmese countryside.
  3. Mandalay Sightseeing: Day 4 features a tour of Mandalay, including the ancient capital of Amarapura and other must-visit attractions such as Mahamuni Pagoda and Mandalay Palace.
  4. Historical Sites in Ava and Sagaing: Day 5 includes a visit to the ancient city of Ava, which was the capital of Burma in the 14th and 15th centuries, and the nearby religious center of Sagaing.

Upon arrival, you'll greet by your guide who will accompany and transfer you to your hotel.

Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is a relatively quiet and charming city. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it one of the most fascinating cities in Southeast Asia.

This afternoon, we'll take a tour around the city center which is filled various historical and colonial buildings partly by car or partly on foot. We’ll first visit to Sule Pagoda which is a 2200-year-old temple surrounded by government buildings and commercial shop. Then, you'll pass along the way to Mahabandoola Park where Independent Monument exists. Continue your tour by passing City Hall, a little India and a little china.

From Here, end your day at Shwedagon Pagoda which is one of the wonders of the world. It was built 2500 years ago, and enshrined with hair relics of Buddha and a place where to meet devoted Buddhists meditating and praying. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.

This morning, you'll transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan (NyaungOo). Bagan, located on the banks of the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River, is home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. On arrival, your journey begins with a visit an elevated temple from where you will have a panoramic view of the magnificent plains of Bagan.

Continue with a visit to the golden Shwezigon Pagoda,first and prototype monument, which was built in Myanmar style in 1087. Then, visit to Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple @ Wetkyi-Inn Village which is well-known for its exquisite jataka mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.

This afternoon begins with a visit to a traditional lacquer ware workshop where you can observe the production of one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Continue to Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples. Built in the early Mon-style, Ananda contains two unique Buddha images whose expressions seem to change depending on the distance from which the statue is viewed. From here, you will visit to Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan, massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork, and Sulamani Temple.

Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the upper terrace of one of the temples.

Mandalay is Myanmar's cultural capital. The nature focus of the city is an abrupt hill, rising above a vast moated and walled square. After breakfast, we’ll drive to Amarapura, a former capital whose name means ‘City of Immortality’. First visit a silk weaving workshop which produces exquisite handmade products and then visits Mahagandayon monastery, when over one-thousand monks reside.

In the afternoon, we'll first visit Mahamuni Pogada, 13ft-high seated Buddha image which is one of Myanmar's most famous. Continue your tour of Mandalay with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’. Continue to Shwenandaw Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace. This grand teak building is known for its exquisite woodcarving. Head to the top of Mandalay Hill to enjoy magnificent views of the city and Irrawaddy River.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Ava which is one of the ancient cities and a remarkably rural backwater of empty fields sparsely dotted with widely spaced ruins, monastic buildings and stupas. Explore Ava by plodding horse cart to visit BagayaKyaung (a wonderful teak monastery), MahaAungmyeBonzan monastery (built of stucco-covered brick, royal monastery temple) and Nanmyin (a leaning watchtower of Ava).

Return to dry land by boat and take a drive to Sagaing by crossing a bridge over the Irrawaddy River. Uncountable white-and-gold stupas are highlights of Sagaing. Sagaing Hill is widely regarded as the religious center of Myanmar. It is home to 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centers and you will visit pagodas such as Swan OoPon Nya Shin and U Min ThoneSae. We’ll also visit Sagaing’s local market, a typical Burmese market that few tourists visit. Here you will find a range of items for sale including locally made pottery, silver, and other handicrafts. We will also stop at a small pottery village to see the process of making the ubiquitous water pots found throughout Myanmar. After touring this tranquil site, continue to U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest and 200-year-old teak bridge. Enjoy a stroll along the bridge and the fabulous views of the surrounding farms and streams.

After breakfast, drive to Mandalay Airport for the flight to Yangon and upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. (Early check-in subjected to room availability). Today is free visit day in Yangon where your car and guide will be at your hands for any additional sightseeing or shopping that you may wish to do. Then, you will continue to Bogyoke Market, formerly known as Scott’s Market, where you can browse through the wide selection of Myanmar handicrafts and other goods (Note: closed on Mondays and public holidays).

2. A proof of return ticket from Myanmar must be attached to the application.

3. A proof of hotel booking must be attached to the application. Tourists must stay in registered hotels, motels, inns, guest house and resort during your stay in Myanmar.

5. Travelers must present a printed copy of each document mentioned in the paragraph 1 to airline staffs upon check-in before boarding the aircraft destined for Myanmar as well as to the respective airport health authorities upon arrival to Myanmar.

6. Travelers must submit a Health Declaration Form to the respective airport health authorities upon arrival to Myanmar. (A legal action will be taken against a traveler, if he or she provides any incorrect information in the Health Declaration Form.)

7. Travelers shall be subject to a thermal screening and necessary health check to be conducted by the respective airport health authorities, upon arrival to Myanmar.

8. Travelers must undergo a COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) at the place designated by the Ministry of Health and airport authorities and must bear the cost of 15,000 MMK.

9. Travelers shall report to the respective health authorities if they have developed signs and symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay in Myanmar. (Contact details of the respective health departments can be obtained from the designated hotels.)

10. Travelers shall be immediately isolated and taken to a hospital or treatment center or hotel designated by the MOH as per health protocols, if they are found to be symptomatic of COVID-19 or they are tested positive for COVID-19 during the RDT test.

11. If the result is negative, travelers are allowed to go about their activities.

12. Travelers must strictly follow the instructions made by the respective health authorities. Any breach will result in legal action in accordance with the existing laws and procedures.

13. The stipulations are subject to change depending on the COVID-19 situation.
