Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market

Today takes you to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province. Situated on the Mekong River, 75 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, the city is surrounded by orchards and rice fields, which produce grain for the entire country. Visit one or two of the islands that produce traditional handcrafts, coconut candy and bee farms. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest one in the delta on your boat trip on the Mekong River. After lunch at the local restaurant, we will visit Notre Dame Cathedral, in the heart of Saigon’s government quarter, which is of neo- Romanesque architecture with two high square towers and iron spires. The Central Post Office is French-style and City Hall, known as “Hotel de Ville,” is typical of the French architecture that would be seen in any village in France. Visit the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Our last stop is Ben Thanh market, the biggest wholesale market in Saigon. Leave the hotel at 8:00 am. Drive to My Son, a World Heritage site, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries were built from the 7 to 13 centuries. Return to Town for lunch on your own. Then leave Hoi An for Hanoi by an hour flight via Da Nang City.

We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore HaLong Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms giving to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Later in the morning we go to Phosi Market, which has an eclectic selection of foodstuffs and souvenirs. AM: We’ll enjoy a short-guided tour of the city's oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic set in colored glass. We then board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. We’ll make sure to stop at the Pak Ou Caves, sanctuaries consisting of two large caverns, both repositories for thousands of Buddha images. We will also stop at a few villages during the day, including Ban Xanghai where the local rice wine is produced. You return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon after seeing Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving.PM: We continue our excursion towards Khouangsi Waterfall, stopping to visit some ethnic minority villages and see how these colorful people live. Once at the falls you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkong, a village well known for silk hand weaving and making traditional Saa Paper. For sunset, we’ll sit and relax at Wat Phabath. In the morning: Visiting the National Museum (close Tuesday) at the former Royal Palace, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed. You`ll visit these sites in the morning before catching our flight back to Vientiane.

In the afternoon: Upon arrival in Vientiane, we see the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. We watch the sunset by Mekong Riverside and spend the evening here absorbing the city’s nightlife. Overnight in Vientiane.

After breakfast, you`ll visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong, then you`ll leave Vientiane for Phnom Penh by a flight at noon time. You will safely land in the Cambodian international airport at 13:00 pm. Warmly welcomed to Phnom Penh - the city retains its traditional Khmer and colonial styles with French villas and large tree-line sidewalk. After the short rest you will visit the impressive Khmer-style royal palace complex built in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom. The next site is Silver pagoda (the emerald Buddha temple), which contains plenty of Buddha Statues decorated and made of gold, diamond, gemstone and silver. A next must stop is Independence monument and explore the National museum, a beautiful Khmer architecture building containing more than 5000 art antiques made of bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, sandstone and others. You`ll pass through the river-front park where 4 rivers meet at a junction including mystical Mekong. Walk up to the sacred hill Phnom Daun Penh – also the name of a pagoda and name of the capital nowadays.

Enjoy the night time and overnight in Phnom Penh.

After breakfast at your hotel, we visit Tuol Sleng prison - now it is Genocide Museum, the most secret part of the Khmer Rouge regime. It’s also called S-21 (abbreviated for Security Office 21), a Khmer Rouge’s premier security camp, specifically designed for the interrogation and extermination of anti-Angkor elements. You continue to visit Choeung Ek museum, where between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants detained and tortured at S-21 were transported for the extermination. Leave the relics of the bad history of Cambodia, you will go shopping around the Russian market, enjoy the bustling daily activities of the locals. We will take a cruise to see the sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap river in the “Four Arms” section where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into two branches. Tour ends at 5pm. You will be free to discover the local nightlife in Phnompenh capital.

It is recommended that there are many charming and good restaurants on the street along the river bank for a relaxed moment with your party. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
